PC Tools Firewall Plus is a security program that will help you prevent the entry of threats to your PC. The application can monitor all attempts of unauthorized access to your PC via a network or via Internet.
The program is really easy to use and does not require advanced knowledge. Within the program interface you will be able to set some functions for better protection. For example, you can create / edit profiles from which you can view and manage advanced rules for different types of networks. This is a new feature included in this version. The profiles that come by default are: "Home", "Work", and "Public".
On the other hand, you can also see detailed traffic of applications that connect to the network, and details of their connections. In addition, you will also see the history of network traffic and the firewall activity.
An important change in this version is that now the program can be run on Windows 7 in 32 and 64 bits versions. Furthermore, the NDIS Driver now has Microsoft's certification. Also, some wireless networking problems have been corrected, as well as other minor errors.
